Q. What surfaces can be refinished? Our resurfacing techniques are designed for most bathroom tubs, showers, sinks countertops and tile made of fiberglass, cultured marble, porcelain and laminates. The same process can be used on wall and floor tiles and all types of countertops including Formica , Corian and WilsonArt
Q. How long will the refinish process take? Most jobs can be completed in one day. A total bathroom refinishing can take two to three days. Additionally, we can schedule most projects within 48 hours of your free estimate.
Q. How long will the refinished surface last? All tub, shower stall, and wall tile applications by Resurface Specialist come with a limited 5 year warranty. Countertops and sinks have a limited 1 year warranty. With reasonable care, these surfaces should last up to 15 to 20 years before observing any measurable wear.
Q. Do you offer a skid resistant surface? Absolutely! We can add a SRS (Skid Resistant Surface) to the bottom of your tub or shower stall. This is a surface that is built into the base and is permanently affixed to the tub, not some sticky pad(s) glued on the bottom.
Q. Are all refinish companies and processes the same? NO WAY! There are many different processes that might be called refinishing or resurfacing. Q. How do I clean the tub after the refinishing is done? If you have had your tub and tile refinished, you will find it much easier to clean because the grout will be sealed! We do sell a cleaner made just for cleaning resurfaced areas but you can use any “green” cleaner that does not contain abrasives and bleach. NEVER EVER use an abrasive cleaner! This will void our warranty.
Q. Will a refinished tub or tile look repainted? A good refinishing job should look like a new tub and tile. Most people cannot tell a Resurface Specialist job to a brand new tub.
